Why Choose Little Blessings?

Little Blessings has a long term, well educated, and dedicated teaching staff who truly care about your child's academic and social/emotional development.  Our curriculum is based on monthly seasonal themes, and the new Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards (IELDS).  Our teachers completed training on the new  standards, to ensure that  our curriculum is aligned with state standards, and that children are well prepared for kindergarten.

Our preschool program uses the blended age philosophy.  There are several advantages to this approach.  Children do not grow and develop at the same rate.  Good teaching requires that we consider each child as an individual as we emphasize one-on-one and small group instruction.  There are no limits on what a child is permitted to learn.  Older children develop a sense of responsibility through working with younger children, and younger children see a model of what they will become as they learn from their older peers.

Children enjoy a weekly music session with our specially trained music teachers.  During this time children sing, dance with scarves, march with rhythm instruments and learn songs to be sung during our monthly Children's Chapel or the Christmas pageant.

Our facility includes two large indoor play rooms, a well equipped playground, and an outdoor classroom.  We have very flexible scheduling to accommodate working parents.  Parents may register their child for 2.5 to 10 hours per day. Children who stay for lunch enjoy nutritious food, prepared on-site.  We use wholesome ingredients, and avoid processed foods.
